I’m working on a psychology writing question and need a sample draft to help me learn.
One of the criticisms of positive psychology is that it privileges  positive emotion over negative emotion. The negative emotions are more  fundamental and most researchers characterize negative emotion as being  more critical for survival. Given that negative emotions are hard-wired  into the nervous system, and that those negative emotions are privileged  over positive emotion, they are thought to have evolved prior to  positive emotion.Â
Can happiness be achieved at the expense of avoiding  negative emotions? What is the role of negative emotions to happiness?  What is the relationship between positive and negative emotions when we  are struggling with trauma and challenges?
