Nursing Care
How does the nursing metaparadigm impact the implementation of culturally proficient nursing care?
“Metaparadigm refers to the most abstract aspect of the structure of nursing knowledge†(Black, 2017, p. 374).
There are four parts to the nursing metaparadigm. They are the major concepts of the discipline-person, environment, health, and nursing. These are the concepts most important to nursing practice and research. The different nursing theories contain all or some of these concepts depending on which theory you are reading. (Black, 2017).
So, take the four concepts (environment, health, person, and nursing) and describe how they impact culturally competent
care.
