This week, weâ€™ll explore an I/O topic that Iâ€™ll bet all (or nearly all) of you have experienced at work: Performance Appraisals.
To start our discussion, post a well-considered opinion of the BEST way to measure performance and the WORST way to measure performance. Your chapter outlined a great number of ways. Explain why you think the BEST is good, and why you think the WORST is bad. Cite at least one objectively verifiable FACT (a statistic is best) in your response. Do not use Wikipedia as the source for this. Do, however, cite your source in APA format. At the bottom of your post include the full reference citation, just as you would on the reference page of an APA-formatted paper.
If you can, share an example of a performance appraisal experience you have had (not your actual evaluation, but the process/criteria/etc.). Did it align with the best or worst ways you identified in the beginning part of your discussion answer? Why or why not?
