There is an ongoing debate about the many changes affecting families that centers around whether these shifts reflect “family decline” or “family change.”

Are Gill’s arguments still relevant today? Why or why not? What is your position on the changing nature of the family concerning these two terms? Is the family drifting apart or changing?
