OVERVIEW
In this week’s lesson, you learned about the big challenges facing free and fair elections from weaponized propaganda and other forms of information disorder. For the final project of this course, you will research and address the suite of issues surrounding this problem and argue for or against particular ideas espoused by others.
INSTRUCTIONS
For this writing exercise, I would like you to engage in prewriting. Select one of the following methods of prewriting and then engage in it. Post the results here. I will be looking for signs that you have engaged in the activity thoughtfully and thoroughly.
- freewriting—an unorganized grab bag of your initial thoughts on what you might research and write about
- mind mapping—drawing an unorganized/non-prioritized map of all the ideas you might wish to research
- outlining—writing an outline of what you might cover, and in what order, with potential sources of evidence included
