Interview an adult (age 70 or above) about their life, including their perceptions of major events or experiences that shaped their development. Discuss how the course of your own life differed from theirs, paying particular attention to non-normative events and history-graded influences. Comment on how you believe these differences in experiences resulted in different developmental outcomes. Consider differences between your generation and theirs, and how these generational differences contributed to different developmental outcomes. Would you have been happy with their life? Why or why not? Be sure to protect the anonymity of the person you interview by using a different name.
